Jungle Birthday Party Ideas (That Aren't Safari)
Love the idea of a safari party but want something fresher? A jungle theme is lush, vibrant, and full of creative possibilities — here's how to do it brilliantly.
Jungle and safari parties share the same animal love, but the jungle theme brings a different energy — darker greens, tropical flowers, parrots, toucans, and the lush drama of a rainforest. Here's how to create a jungle birthday that feels fresh and exciting.
Setting the Scene
The jungle theme is all about texture and greenery. Layer it up: dark green tablecloths, large tropical leaf cutouts on the walls, overhanging strings of greenery. Visit a pound shop or garden centre for large plastic tropical leaves — they're cheap and immediately transform any space.
Hang vines (rope or twisted brown paper) from doorframes. Drape animal print fabric as a backdrop. The more layered and lush it looks, the better.
The Jungle Cake
A dark green, deep teal, or two-tone buttercream cake works brilliantly as a jungle centrepiece.
